There are 3 main things you should know when caring for air plants:

1.) LIGHT - air plants love bright, indirect sunlight. If indoors, they love being near windows!

2.) WATER - submerge the plant in water for 20-30 minutes once a week. After soaking, gently shake the excess water from the base of the plant. If you live in a low humidity area, it may require mists in between soaks (which is why bathrooms could be a great place for your plant).

3.) AIR - air plants get their name because they require air exchange, especially after soakings. Simply make sure they're not boxed-in or cut off from air for extended periods.

An air plant is a beautiful living plant which does not require soil. Air plants get their nutrients from their leaves, not roots. Therefore, their roots are not necessary for survival. In fact, they only use them to grow onto hosts such as trees in their native environments.

Air plants can make a beautiful bloom when given the proper conditions. After they bloom, they will make 1-3 pups. Pups are babies that will grow into beautiful full grown air plants.

If your order includes live plants and you live in a colder climate, here are some helpful tips!

* If your daytime temperatures are 45ºF or below you will need to choose "PRIORITY SHIPPING" for the fastest and safest delivery!

* If your daytime temperatures are below freezing (32ºF ) you will need to add a heat pack. (Link to heat pack in item description.)

* If your daytime temperatures are below freezing and you are not home when the mail arrives, you may want to ship the plant to your daytime location (i.e. your workplace) or have a neighbor pick up the package for you. This will prevent the plants from sitting in the freezing cold.

* Check your tracking info to see exactly when the plant will arrive.

It is your responsibility to check the weather temperatures in your area.

If you fail to upgrade shipping to Priority Shipping and/or choose not to add a heat pack and your plant arrives damaged due to cold weather, you will not receive a replacement nor a refund.

If you do upgrade to Priority Shipping and/or add a heat pack and the plant arrives damaged, contact me within 48 hours of arrival with pictures and I will send you a replacement.

If your item arrives damaged due to rough handling by the carrier or arrives dead due to no fault of your own, contact me within 48 hours of arrival with pictures and I will replace your item ASAP.
